Overview:

Associated Students, Inc., (ASI), a non-profit, student-run organization at California State University San Marcos, discovered that over 50% of its student body was suffering from a lack of safe and nutritious foods. ASI launched an education and advocacy program to raise awareness and provide funding to combat this campus-wide inequality.

Neuroth Construction worked closely with ASI and their California State University San Marcos partners to transform approximately 1,200 sf of vacant, under-utilized space into what is now the ASI Cougar Food Pantry.

We installed dust controls, surface protection, routing and security measures to safeguard students, faculty and staff during construction. A new wet-pipe fire suppression system was installed, with a private fire service-main connection. We completely overhauled the plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to accommodate the demands of the new student-run facility, with new electrical power, lighting and signal system updates as well.
